Crozier
“Crozier” is a project in which I utilized my 3D design skills to develop 3D printed jewellery. The inspiration for this project came from a trip to Austria, in which I was hiking, equipped with my camera where I found an unassuming almost abandoned looking church atop of a mountain, looking entirely snowed in as I entered the church, I found it flawlessly preserved. Inside this church I saw beautifully decorated renaissance frames, coffered ceilings and stunning entablature.
The intricate design and construction of the interior then inspired my ear cuff design, while looking for further inspiration I visited various churches and statues across the UK, but the main thing that caught my attention was the range of crozier’s featured in the V&A’s collection, I then completed my design in blender and Zbrush. The ear cuffs feature an intricate design that flows naturally around the wearers ear from top to bottom, showing various details taken from my sources of inspiration.
eight sets of ear cuffs were printed in a range of finishes, these were then shot across numerous locations with both renaissance styling and modern styling elements incorporated into my editorial. This project was finalised in the form of a book titled “Framed” and was shortlisted for five awards at Graduate Fashion Week 2023.
